Nikhil Subraveti was a postdoctoral researcher in the lab co-advised with Bob Prud’homme. He did his undergraduate studies in chemical engineering at IIT Madras, India, and then obtained his PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park, synthesizing smart skins/membranes around soft aqueous structures for regulating the release of small molecule solutes. In the lab, Nikhil worked on developing functionalized nanoparticles to modify bacterial communities. He then went on to a position at the FDA as an ORISE fellow.

Born and raised in India, Nikhil loves playing the two most played sports in the country, Cricket and Badminton. He also enjoys cooking, pencil sketching, hiking, and long-distance running, with hopes to participate in the Boston Marathon someday. Need any help from him? Just give him Oreos.
