Danielle Sclafani is a PhD student in Chemical and Biological Engineering. She did her undergraduate work in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied nanoparticle-polymer composite layers and virucidal coatings in Daeyeon Lee’s lab. Her current research in the lab focuses on bacteria-phage interactions. In May 2025, she will be moving with the lab to Caltech, where she will transfer to the PhD program in Chemical Engineering.

Outside of lab, Danielle enjoys dancing tango and ballet, playing music with friends, along with spending time outside: hiking, biking, and climbing rocks.
